Swedish Massage
Classic full-body relaxation with flowing, medium-pressure strokes.
Massage Therapy
Bespoke essential-oil blends and slow, flowing strokes for the senses.
Aromatherapy massage works on two levels at once. Beneath your hands, gentle Swedish-style strokes loosen tired muscles and slow the breath; in the air, a bespoke blend of essential oils settles the mind. The result is a treatment that feels as much like a reset for the senses as it does for the body.
Before we begin, your therapist helps you choose an oil blend to match how you feel that day. Lavender and ylang-ylang to calm a busy head, citrus to lift flagging energy, eucalyptus to clear and refresh, or a balancing mix when you are somewhere in between. Warm oils are then worked into the skin with long, even pressure that rarely strays beyond soothing.
Every session takes place in a private, candle-lit room with soft music, in keeping with the quiet, European style of the spa. It is an easy retreat from the pace of Business Bay and the wider city of Dubai, and afterwards you are welcome to stay a little longer over a cup of tea with sweets, giving the aromas and the calm time to linger.
Your visit
Here is how your aromatherapy massage unfolds, from arrival to your final cup of tea.
Your therapist asks how you are feeling that day, then guides you to an essential oil to match: lavender or ylang-ylang to calm, citrus to lift, eucalyptus to refresh, or a balanced mix.
You make yourself comfortable in a private, candle-lit room with soft music playing. The warm aromatic oils are prepared, and you are given a moment to relax and let your breathing slow before we begin.
Your therapist works the warm, scented oils into the skin with long, flowing Swedish-style strokes and gentle pressure. The aroma rises with the warmth of each movement, easing tension from the body while the mind quietly settles.
Your chosen blend stays on the skin for a few hours, so the treatment follows you out the door. Linger as long as you like, then enjoy tea and sweets while the calm settles.
An aromatherapy massage at Elysium Premium uses the same gentle, flowing Swedish-style strokes as a classic Swedish massage, so the touch itself feels familiar; the difference lies in the bespoke essential-oil blend that works on your senses throughout. Before we begin, your therapist helps you choose a scent to suit your mood that day. Lavender and ylang-ylang calm a busy, overstretched head; citrus lifts flagging energy and brightens the spirits; eucalyptus clears and refreshes when you feel heavy or congested; and a balanced mix sits somewhere comfortably in between. The warm oils are then worked slowly into the skin, so the aroma rises with each stroke. In short, a Swedish massage relaxes the muscles, while aromatherapy adds a second, quieter layer that settles the mind, making the experience as much about scent as it is about touch.
Both aromatherapy massage sessions are full-body treatments; the choice comes down to how much time you would like to truly switch off. The 60-minute session at 525 AED is a lovely, complete treatment, ideal if you are short on time or new to aromatherapy and simply want to unwind. The 90-minute session at 735 AED gives your therapist room to work more slowly and thoroughly, with extra attention on the areas that hold the most tension, such as the back, shoulders and neck, and more time for the chosen aroma to do its quiet work. If your aim is to leave the day entirely behind and sink into deep, unhurried calm, the longer session is well worth the extra time. Whichever you choose, the same warm oils, private candle-lit room and tea afterwards are part of the experience.
You can book your aromatherapy massage by WhatsApp or by calling +971 50 303 8294, and we are open daily from 10:00 AM until 2:00 AM. When you message us, do feel free to mention the oils or mood you have in mind, whether that is calming lavender, uplifting citrus or refreshing eucalyptus, so your therapist can have everything prepared for your arrival. If you can come earlier in the day, our Early Bird offer applies to the Aroma and Swedish massages between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, a lovely way to enjoy the same treatment for a little less. The late closing makes it easy to come after work or to wind down at the very end of the evening, though weekends tend to fill up, so it is always wise to book ahead and secure your preferred time.
Aromatherapy massage can usually be tailored to suit sensitive skin and noses, but please do tell us about any allergies or sensitivities when you book and again during your consultation. Let your therapist know too if you are pregnant or have a skin condition, as certain essential oils are best avoided or used more sparingly at those times. We can adjust the blend, choose a gentler oil, dilute the mix further or simply use less of a particular scent so the treatment stays comfortable from start to finish. If a certain aroma is not to your taste, or brings back the wrong association, we will happily build the blend around something you genuinely enjoy instead. The pressure itself is light and soothing rather than deep, so the experience remains gentle throughout, and your comfort guides every choice we make.
After an aromatherapy massage most guests feel deeply relaxed, a little dreamy and noticeably lighter in the mind, which is exactly the intention. The warm oils leave the skin soft and lightly scented, and the chosen aroma tends to linger gently on the skin for a few hours, a quiet reminder of the calm you have just enjoyed. We encourage you not to rush away: rest a while in the candle-lit room, then settle in over a cup of tea with sweets so the body and breath can return to their own pace. Because the treatment is so soothing, many people find they sleep especially well that night, particularly after the lavender or ylang-ylang blends. Drink a little water, take the rest of the evening gently if you can, and let the sense of ease stay with you for as long as it will.
